About Us

After 14 years with several fast-growth and larger environmental consulting firms, Don decided that corporate life was not for him. He wanted to personally connect with customers and offer a more focussed, cost effective and common sense approach to solving their environmental challenges. He took the leap in 1992 with no customers, a supportive and involved spouse Annie, three small children and a fourth on the way. We took over our daughter's bedroom and checked the answering machine and fax multiple times a day for work opportunities. Potential clients responded positively to our personal common sense approach and work started coming in. 30+ years later we are still around providing Peace of Mind to existing and new customers. Don and Annie moved to an old farm in Vermont in 2020 and split their time there and in South Carolina. We continue to run the business with Erin who has been with us for 20+ years, Lizzie (whose bedroom we took over all those years ago) and Austin, who is now full-time after receiving his MS in Hydrogeology from Clemson University.
